IT'S NET WORKING

The name is the whole joke: say it out loud and networking turns into net working. It is an event for people who like building things and quietly hate the word networking.

One room in Amsterdam, a long bar, a few hundred founders and makers, and nobody handing you a business card at the door.

Every networking event looks the same. A badge, a name tag, a room of people waiting for somebody else to start the conversation.

The conversations anyone actually wanted were always the ones at the bar afterwards, so we built the evening around that part and threw the rest away.

An event is the cheapest way to find out who your people are, and the fastest way to build something that keeps existing between editions.

It repeats. Every edition leaves behind a room full of contacts, a mailing list and a reason for the next one.
